| About Chemical | Nitric acid is solvent and a reagent that is mainly found as colourless its basic solution of nitrogen and water, but if kept outside for a longer duration or older are tend to form yellow cast due to decomposition of nitrogen and hydrogen, Commercially 68%concentration of water is sold more then that i.e. 86% HNO3 is called fuming nitric acid thus based on nitric acid concentration it is characterized such as white fuming nitric acid, red fuming nitric acid which is above 95% of the concentration Mainly used as a reagent for nitration process, in demolition and munition process, also in textile industries for making dyes and ink and as a strong oxidizing agent, etc. |
